We are having an exciting 2008 already! I have been invited to participate in “Design After Dark: ish”, a fundraiser for The Denver Art Museums’ Design Council. It will be a very interesting evening as the artists are combing the power of an ISH word with unique objects from The Department of Architecture, Design & Graphics. I created this dress/mannequin using wire, beads, fabric, and leather, my object is a Roy Lichtenstein lithograph from 1960! It turned out to be a conceptual surreal fashion figure only 12″ tall by 12″ wide.
Also this month we are hosting a private party with The Wise Women, part of the Women’s Vision Foundation. Carolyn Fineran (writer/artist/coach) (www.GypsiesCollection.com) and I will speak about Life After Retail.
